\"K125-Oot-Oot_1\"Story of a special Father’s Day gift: dad’s first motorcycle restored<\/h3>\n

Joonas Torim, the designer in Oot-Oot Stuudio, made an incredible surprise to his father for this year’s Father’s Day. Restored to 99% authenticity the story of the motorcycle\u00a0K-125M from year 1954 is quite catching.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The soon to be 62 years old motorcycle was bought by Joonas’s grandfather in the year 1964 from a well-known Estonian astronomer and it was the first ever engined tranportation device for him. The documents show that the vehicle of a young family was actively in use for 4-5 years (the\u00a0kilometrage was approx 4000 km).<\/p>\n

\"K125-Oot-Oot_2\"<\/p>\n

From the grandfather the bike went\u00a0to Joonas’s father and his brother use. The adventures, exploring trips, memories – the\u00a0K-125M has seen it all. Due to change of time, habits and life-style the motorcycle was left behind. Joonas found it from the corner of an old garage\u00a0covered with dust and in bad condition.<\/p>\n

Knowing how important the motorcycle is to his grandfather and father, Joonas got\u00a0a brilliant idea to restore the vehicle to original situation and make a wonderful Father’s Day surprise for them. After finding the master for doing it, Kaarel Libe from Phoenix Motorcycles, the\u00a0process took off. The 2-year restoration process was finished for this year’s Father’s Day and the gift was handed over.<\/p>\n

\"K125-Oot-Oot_5\"<\/p>\n

To find all the right parts many Estonian vehicle collectors and hobbyist were visited and all kinds of sheds and garages were searched through. The motorcycle is restored to 99% authenticity which is the best possible result.<\/p>\n

\"K125-Oot-Oot_6\"<\/p>\n

“This motorcycle\u00a0is going to be a reminder of a certain period of our family’s life. It is unbelievable that and old vehicle can bring back to life events from 50 years ago!” Joonas’s grandfather is ashtonished.<\/p>\n

Some things are\u00a0unchangeable and men’s love for engines is one of those cases. Travelling through time and generations this motorcycle from the year 1954 has been connecting sons and fathers for decades now and thanks to Joonas the\u00a0path\u00a0will continue. In alternation to hectic and quickly developing consumer society it is also nice to remember\u00a0the traditions and timeless values which\u00a0still mean something to people and have a place in people’s lives.<\/p>\n
