SOFA BED FOLD

FOLD is a sofa bed designed and constructed by Oot-Oot Studio with high legs, airy and durable metal frame. The FOLD is a sofa bed that is comfortable to sit on and good to sleep on, and it looks stylish too.

STRONG METAL FRAME

Metal frames have the advantage over plywood and fibreboard frames in terms of long life and stability. The frame will not wear out even if the sofa bed is packed and unpacked constantly or if you sleep on it every day. The FOLD sofa’s high-quality metal frame is made in Estonia.

POCKET SPRINGS

A metal spiral spring is used under both the seating and sleeping sections of the sofa. Compared to 100% porolone solutions, the springs are more durable and more similar to a classic bed mattress.

MECHANISM

Fold sofa bed mechanism is sleek and sturdy. Opening the bed is easy with just two movements to bring the seat forward and fold down the backrest. This solution is reliable and durable, as there are as few moving parts as possible.

140 x 200 CM

The length of the Fold sleeping area is 200cm, not 190cm or 195cm, which is often common for sofa beds. 200x140cm is the standard size for duvets and mattress covers.

HIGH LEGS

Fold sofa bed has a foot height of 17cm. This means that robotic vacuum cleaners can fit neatly under the sofa. High-legged sofas also look visually airier and help a small room look more spacious and larger. Choose from trendy metal legs or a range of wooden legs.

FABRICS

Fold sofa bed fabrics are made from durable fabrics that are highly resistant to wear and tear, repel dirt and are easy to clean if necessary. These fabrics are suitable for both domestic and public use and will look fresh after years of use.

5 DIFFERENT LEG OPTIONS

FOLD

FOLD is a sofa bed with long legs on a durable metal frame. ‘A good sofa bed is a great challenge for a designer. In general, sofa beds are not the best beds or even comfortable sofas. In addition, they often look awkward. We wanted to create something that would be airy and with long legs, not rooted to the ground as usual,’ explains designer Joonas Torim.

High-quality spring blocks provide softness to the seating and sleeping parts of the FOLD sofa bed. The sofa has a 200 × 140cm sleeping area between the fairly wide armrests. The total length of the sofa is 230 cm and it can seat 3–4 people. FOLD easily turns into a bed, with just a few movements: move the seat forward and fold the backrest down.

You can choose different wooden legs or a slim metal leg for the sofa. From the wide selection of upholstery fabrics, you can find your favourite among 30 different fabrics and 1,000 colours.
